LIFE VIEWED THROUGH A LENS...
Lisa Gane remembers picking up her mother's camera at age five to capture the image of her sisters outside in the snow. From that moment her life has been inextricably linked with photography, a passion that led her to starting Lumo Photography in 2004. With encouragement from family and friends, and recognition in awards and school prizes along the way, Lisa single-minedly pursued photography throughout her teens and gained a Diploma in Photography on leaving school. Working with film at the time, Lisa saw the rise of digital technology and gained qualifications in Multimedia and Graphic Design to ensure that she was fully equipped to face the professional photography world.
Lumo began with commercial photography, but requests from friends led to a few wedding shoots. Finding these enjoyable and with continual referrals from word of mouth, Lisa has built an impressive portfolio of local and destination weddings, enjoying both the challenge and rewards the come with dealing with different people in unique locations on such an emotionally charged day.
National awards have followed, as has more commercial, portrait and wedding work. Lisa's striking images have been featured in magazines as diverse as Pavement and Homestyle, and her professional shoots have covered clients across the country in a range of industries. With this success, Lisa's focus has remained the same - an artistic vision empowered by technical skill and a dedication to remaining relevant with the rapid advances in technology.
For Lisa photography is the truest means of self-expression and she continues to explore and be inspired by her personal and professional work, all of which inspire her to drive Lumo Photography to offer an unparalleled creative photographic service.
